Dear Family,
Well this week went by fast, we worked a lot with the Member
Missionaries so that we could have lessons with members. We found a lot of
people who are awesome, but none of them got to church... We found a family,
David and Romina are a young unmarried couple who have a couple kids under the
age of 7 i think... We were passing by for a contact that we had or a person we
had talked with but wasnt home... we crossed the street to visit a Less Active
member but wasnt home.... We leave and right across the street a 29 year old
Women walks out of her house with her little son in her arms, I had the
prompting to go and talk with her and so we did. She was super upset with God,
because of things that had happened to her loved ones and others, she said she
doesnt believe anymore. We talked for a bit and I got the prompting to share a
scripture in
Alma 7
11 And he shall go forth,
suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind;
and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take
upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
12 And he will take upon
him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his
people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be
filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the
flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.
13 Now the
Spirit knoweth all things; nevertheless the Son of God suffereth
according to the flesh that he might take upon him the sins
of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the
power of his deliverance; and now behold, this is the testimony which is in
me.
She really took that to heart and she started to open her
heart to hear us, then the next day we find out her boyfriend was reading the
Pamphlet of The plan of salvation. He was the same as her but a little
more willing to do things. He said he would come to church but did make it, he
hit the off button and fell asleep on accident. They are super great, please
pray for them.
Monday (yesterday)
we went to Tandil for a Christmas Conference, it was really good. Presdent
ParreƱo talked about WWI when Christmas eve came they heard singing and then Christmas day the soldiers left the trenches and played soccer with there
enemies. It was super cool. Thats what happened this week.
I love you all!!!
Con Amor,
Elder Ethan C. Durocher!
