Dear Family,
We had a lesson with our Investigator Julian and he know English, so we taught him completely in ENGLISH!!! it was such an experience to
have!!! The room was so filled with the Spirit as we bore our witness in our
Language. I don't know how to explain how goooood it felt to talk in English and
to teach in English, but to be honest it was the hardest thing in the world to
talk in English while teaching. I got tongue tied so many times and couldn't
speak in English. Ha it was really funny to me! He is awesome! he is 16
years old and has so much potential! he read the First 40 pages of the book of Mormon right after we left and got distracted after 40 pages because he had to
cook food. it was such a blessing of an experience.
Right now we are looking for a new house to live in,
our contract expired in the house we are in and we need to move. So we have
been spending a couple day on trying to find a house with out luck...
We had a lesson with a girl name Alejandra, she
is probably late 20s early 30s. We knocked on the door and she invited us in
and we started talking, and she opened right up to us and said that her dad has
terminal cancer and she doesn't understand why. We explained the Plan of
Salvation and Gods plan for us. One reasons the mission is important for young
men and women, is they have to chance to see peoples eyes dark and UN-illuminated and then after you can see the flame burning once again. A flame
of hope, peace, love and etc..
I am so thankful for the opportunity I have to be
serving my mission. It has blessed me in so many ways that I can not explain, I
am growing and finding who I am and my worth in the eyes of God. I know that we
all have Worth like in D&C 18:10 " the worth of souls are great in the
eyes of God"
I love you all so much!!!!
Con Amor!!! Elder Ethan C. Durocher!!
