Aloha and Hola!
What a week of weather extremes! On Monday it got cold and snowed like
crazy! It was a blowing white out at my
work in the morning and by afternoon, cool and clear. By Friday it was 80 degrees! If I was home to do it, I could have shoveled
snow from the driveway and a couple days later, mowed the grass! Gotta love the diversity!
Earlier in the week I thought I'd like to go out to
Tooele for the weekend so made plans with Nick and family. I told both boys I would watch kids so they
could take their ladies out on a date! I
learned that Mike would be in Idaho, so that was a bummer but we'll find
another time to visit. On Saturday
morning I went to my hair appointment and then met a guy in SLC who sells Lexus
Navigation updates and got the 2014 version (former version was from 2006) and
it was nice to see the complete and updated roadways. I then traveled on to Tooele and had a nice
visit with Michelle and played with the kids.
Nick was at his friend John's house in rural Tooele as he'd dismantled a
5th wheel camp trailer and was burning the excess wood from it. He plans on using the frame of the trailer to
make an enclosed car trailer. While the
wood pile was burning, the Tooele fire department showed up and told Nick and
John that it was against city ordinance.
Ohhhh.......? So the fire truck sprayed the pile with water and luckily
he wasn't ticketed.
When Nick got home he and Michelle got ready as I scooted
them off to go on a date! I fed the kids
and went for a walk with the stroller and Cambree was so excited to see all the
flowers that Jesus made! So cute! We then went to the store for some milk and
then read books, said prayers and they went to bed without a fuss. Sweet!
Nick and Michelle arrived home late and I was glad they spent some alone
time together.
Sunday was a nice day and the morning enjoyable as
Michelle made pancakes and orange juice.
Church went so nice and testimonies were great in Sacrament. The Sunday school lesson was on the subject I
taught the week before so it was interesting to see another teachers approach
at the subject of Balaam and Balak and the talking donkey.
Back at the house Michelle prepared a delicious chicken
casserole and then we checked out Nicks trailer with the section pushed
out. It also has a lot of storage
underneath in different areas. Nick then
decided to pull a fence post and push back the gate two fence sections towards
the back of the house. So from the
picture instead of the fence starting in front of the window well, it's moved
back from the other side of the window well about 7 feet. Now he can make the fence panel a gate as
before it was a screwed in panel. It
looked great with a few screws resituated.
As always its a delight to be with my kids and family.
Michael wasn't to return till late from Idaho so I didn't
get to see him and family. He did get to
spend the weekend with Gavin and they went to Twin Falls for Adrienne's girls
soccer games I believe.
I hope the missionaries had a great week and the Spirit
of Inspiration was with you. It's an amazing gift to have the Holy Ghost
with you so He can give you timely inspiration to act in the name of Jesus
Christ. It's such a blessing to be His
instrument whether you are a missionary, a husband, a father, a son, and a
friend. I have been so proud of all my
children as each one of you possess the ability to listen to the whispering of
the Still Small Voice of the Holy Ghost who helps and guides you each day. We are a blessed family to have the Truth of
the Gospel to teach, lead and guide us in the way of peace and love.
I love my family dearly and wish only for your happiness,
safety and love.
Always,
