We were walking in
the road heading for our next appointment and we see the women leaving her
house with her kid going the other way. So the appointment fell through... We
turned around to go to the Plan B plan that we had and my companion and i couldn't find the house... we were doing circles in this street and we probably
looked pretty funny... My companion couldn't make up his mind on where to go,
and didn't feel like following the next plans so he just took off heading for a street,
so we crossed a bigger street and were walking on a street called French and we
passed the house on the corner and we were about to pass the second house when
i felt like i we needed to contact this house. we clapped out side the
gate(that's how people knock to ring the doorbell when there's a gate) a little
while later a lady comes out who is in her 60s and says " Im mad at you
guys!" we looked at each other puzzled and then look at her... We then
asked why and ask questions. She has been a member for 50 plus years and her
dad was the branch president in a different city and was asked to move to
Viedma to build the church in this city. She had been married but a while ago
her husband had died and was in a tough spot for awhile and wanted the missionaries
to come and bring their spirit into the home, the missionaries passed by but
said they couldn't enter because a rule that we have. (we cant enter a house
with a single women unless there is a man 18 years old or older) She didn't
understand the rule and thought that Christ knows that im a good person and
nothings going to happen... We explained some more and she then said, "
well i don't like that rule..." it sounded kinda funny how she said it,
because i could tell she understood and accepted it but just didn't like it. We
have a Appointment to pass by Tuesday.
I know that the
lord guides us so that we can help those people in need. In this moment it was
a lady who was offended with the rules/missionaries and who is less-active.
other times its the people who ARE prepared to hear the word. ( other funny
thing the call the gospel, La Palabra, or in English The Word, there always
like, i already have the Word and don't need more, or something like that. its
funny to me) I know that our Savior know everyone of his children and wants
them to Succeed. I am so grateful for this work and all the blessing from the
Lord.
