Well this week was
really good, i was in Exchanges with our District Leader almost the whole week.
His name is Elder Hynes, he is from Buenos Aires but his ancestors are from
Ireland. So he doesn't look anything like an Argentine and a whole lot like a Irish
Leprecon, with a highish voice. He awesome though. We became very good friends
very fast and we worked like crazy. One of the blessing that came from our week
of work is....
We found a FAMILY OF 6,
who want to listen to our message. It was really interesting how it happened.
We were walking in a dirt street, which at this time would was a mud street. As
we passed a house, i said lets contact this house, but right between the road
and (what we would say is a dirt front yard) was like a 2 to 3 foot wide stream
from all the rain that we had. As we were trying to figure out how to get over
it, i just said lets just keep walking( basically because i thought no one is
there or is going to listen to us) and Elder Hynes was still trying to get over
,but it wasn't happening. Then i found a place to cross and we ended up
contacting the house. A women answer the door, and said she doesn't want to talk
because she wont understand. She cant read or write and has very little
schooling, so she felt like it would be a waste of time, but she was very
friendly.. She then called her husband because she was having a hard time
understanding me. He came to the door and said they dont want anything. I said
somethings, but i don't remember what they were, we basically just presented who
we are. He leans in the door and says to his wife, "they want to know if
they can come in and share a message." Then she said, " Sure, why
not!" Its funny because he just came to that conclusion. We went in to the
house and we started getting to know them, he said they didn't have much time to
talk. So we said we want to leave them with a pamphlet of The Gospel of Jesus
Christ, and if he could read it to his wife. He then said, "well you two
are already here why don't you just share it." It was really funny how he
went from, we don't have time, to letting us share our message. The Spirit
worked really fast in that moment. We shared the message and it was awesome.
Next part, last night at
like 10 pm we got a called and i got emergency transferred... to a city an hour
out of Necochea, called Lobería. I am now companions with this Elder Hynes...
It was an weird and out of the blue change, but thats what happened this week.
