Ethan's 11th / 2015 Letter/photos Carmen de Patagones, Argentina 3-16-15

Dear Family,

I finally go to my area Monday at like 5pm and i got unpacked and showered and ready to work, at 6:15 pm we were out the door to go to work. We passed by for a lot of the investigators that we have and the members during the week. We passed by and talked to the Mother of a 9 year old boy who had been going to church for months but the mother would let him get baptized. We talked with her for a little bit and she gave him permission. He got super excited and then asked me to baptized him because for some reason... haha
Saturday morning we did service for some member, we dung like a 20 foot trench about 1 foot wide 2 feet deep, and i just went at it like a mad man!! haha I just started giving it my all and my Latin companion and the members just were stunned as i got it done super fast! haha. That's just how Durocher's work, effectively, with diligence. I got one blister but i so enjoyed manual labor, id love to talk to Dave Wilkinson and see if he can help me out with a job, i miss working with my hands. Anyway we finished that and then we went to the church and we had to drain the Baptismal Faunt from two weeks back, my companion said that the Pump was broken that sucks the water out, so i went over and looked at a couple things and primed the pump and it worked!!! haha it took about 45 minutes to suck out all the water, and then we cleaned it and then filled it up. We left and came back like 2 hours later and there was enough water. We prepared every thing and Alexis Castro showed up and the members so we went and changed. Alexis went to the water and felt if it was warm and it was, then we went and started the Baptismal Service. 15 minutes later we went to baptize him and i stopped to show him what we have to do, like bend his knees and everything. My companion comes running over and says THERE IS NO WATER IN THE BAPTISMAL FAUNT!! I run over and look and it was completely DRY! He said that he open the door up where everyone can see and he saw a foot of water and in seconds it vanished!
That's was our challenge this weekend!!! we hurrying and found out that the pump was on again and it worked with out being primed like it normally hast to, and the water was drained in 15 minutes instead of 45 minutes like in the morning! We were shocked! we waited for like 30 minutes and baptized him in like 2 feet of water! haha it was a great day! he was confirmed Sunday. We worked a lot and we got a lot of people to accept the invitation to be baptized so we should be able to baptize every weekend this month!
That was the miracle this week!! I love you all!!!
Con Amor,
Elder Ethan C. Durocher
