Fun photos of a 4 wheeling outing to 5 Mile Pass between Lehi and Tooele, Utah
On Saturday Nick, Hayden and Cambree met up with
Morgan, Camrie and I at 5 Mile Pass to go 4 wheeling!(Michelle was at school) It was a blast to have the wind whipping up
and the dry desert had lots of dust. No
matter, the wind pushed it aside pretty well.
At the top of the hillside there were these deep mining pits that were
covered with a grid of re-bar for peoples safety. Morgan threw a rock down and it took almost 5
seconds for it to tap the bottom. He
calculated it to be over 400 feet deep!
One of the shallow holes had what looked like a WWII jeep at the bottom,
by the look of the headlights. One of
the roads had some deep ruts and I had to have both Morgan and Nick rescue me
on two different times to get passed.
One time my whole torso left the seat to the left with a foot off the
side! Yikes! This is why you never ride alone! Nick brought a loaded sub sandwich and we all
shared lunch back at the parking lot.
The kid's were great through it all.
Nicks enclosed trailer was sure nice!
Thanks Nick for the great idea!
