Dear Family,
Conference was so great to watch, 10 hours of listening to
the prophets and apostles speak flew by so fast. I feel like i got so much
guidance and direction from listening to all the sessions, and taking notes on
what stuck out to me. I hope all of you had the chance to watch Conference and
learn from our leaders. If not, go re-watch it on the internet, and read the
ensign when they print all the talks. I will definitely be going back and
reading all the talks again as soon as possible! They were all so good, I cant
really pick out a certain one and say it was my favorite.
For P-Day this morning we did service in the temple
for about 4 hours, From 8-Noon. The temple is closed for 3 weeks to do
maintenance and cleaning. So we emptied a few rooms of the chairs, and
pictures, and mirrors, and everything and stacked them in other rooms. Some of
the rooms will be painted, and gold trim put in their. And some rooms will have
the carpets replaced. We disassembled a bunch of benches, and took them all
apart so that the wood can be re-finished and fixed up better. Then we had
lunch at the end, it was great to be able to serve in the House of the Lord,
and feel the special spirit that is always there. Then afterwards we played
ping pong with some other missionaries. We made smoothies, and now here i am at
the computer.
On Tuesday, April Fools, we played a prank on the Sister
Missionaries. At like 8 at night, we went to their car and stuck balloons all
over it, and put peanut butter under the door handles. So that when they tried
to get in their car, they would get slimy peanut butter all over them. It was
pretty fun!
