Aloha!
I don't even know what to say, besides the fact that
this week flew by super fast!! It was our Zones Turn to have Interviews with
the Mission President this week, so everyone got a chance to have a 1 on 1 with
President Warner. I had a really fun conversation with him. He asked me if i
could believe i only had 4 weeks left on my mission? Then said that i have done
amazing things in our mission. He mentioned how great of a strength i was to
the Hawaii Honolulu Mission, and we were losing a great missionary. He
mentioned how great of a teacher i have become, he said he knew that first hand
because we had the chance to teach a lesson with President Warner, And when i
taught the Whole mission when i was a Zone Leader at Mission Conference, and
did a training on the Plan of Salvation. We were talking about how amazing
missions are, and how they allow people to grow so much, and in so many ways.
Then we talked a little bit about plans when i get home, and that turned to
college, and working on getting enrolled into college back home. It wasn't my
dying interview, because i will have 1 more dying interview with him my last
week of my mission. But it was super nice to get to visit with him, and talk
with him. I really love this Man, and look up to him more than words can
say. He has been a great example and support to me.
We had a really sweet lesson with LJ this week. We taught
him the Plan of Salvation. And the Less-Active Grandfather was able to help us
teach the lesson, and take an active part in the teaching of his Grandson. LJ
should be getting baptized in the next couple of weeks. The lesson went super
good. The Spirit of Peace and Happyness was their in the room with us,
Testifying of the Truth that was being said. LJ was super interested in the
lesson, and asked lots of questions, and shared lots. Wednesday we went to
scouts with LJ, We played Wiffleball, which is when you play with the Plastic
Baseball. So we played for like 30 minutes, and at the very end, LJ was
pitching for our team. Elder Morco came up to Bat, and slammed the Ball as hard
as he could, it made direct contact with LJ's face. The Ball slammed right into
the face of our investigator, at less than 10 feet away. LJ was fine, good
thing it was a plastic ball, but that didn't keep me from Making fun of Elder
Morco for hitting our Investigator in the Face. He felt so Bad haha! LJ went
camping with the Young Men on Friday and Saturday. Its cool to see how LJ has
been so welcomed into the ward, and been befriended so much by the young men.
MEMBER MISSIONARY WORK IS SO IMPORTANT!!!
Okay so i totally had a miracle happen to me this week.Elder
Morco had used my 64 gig flash drive at the Library to make a baptismal
Program. He accidentally left it there in the computer. I was super sad cuz it
had all my mission pictures, and other pictures missionaries had given me. I
prayed that my Flashdrive would still be there at the Library. So we came back
to the Library 4 days later, it wasn't in the computer anymore. We went to the
librarian and asked if anyone had turned in a flash drive. I described
what it looked like, she opened a few drawers and found my Flash Drive!! She
told me that someone had found it in the computer, and had returned it to her.
She told me that i was super lucky, because in all of the years that she worked
there. No one had returned a lost flashdrive to her, Usually the person
would just steal the flashdrive and take it home. But i had been very lucky,
and the person had turned in the lost Flashdrive. So i count that as a miracle
from Heaven!! =P
